This has been the time of Valentine’s Day, the celebration of love, and often romantic love. But whether or not you have a Valentine here on earth, you absolutely are Someone’s valentine in heaven.
What follows is a collection of verses to remind you how loved you are by your Creator, your Father God, the Lord of Heaven and Earth. He made you, He sees you, and He loves you without fail and without condition.
Drawn and Delighted
“The Lord decrees His loving devotion by day, and at night His song is with me as a prayer to the God of my life.” Psalm 42:8 BSB
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love.” Song of Solomon 2:4 NKJV
“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” Jeremiah 31: 3 NKJV
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you…” Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV
“For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 129:14-15 NKJV
Loved to Save
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 NKJV
“Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1 NKJV
“So, what does this all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? For God has proved His love by giving us His greatest treasure, the gift of His son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, He certainly won’t withhold from us anything else He has to give.” Romans 8:31-32 TPT
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 NASB
And the final prayer and blessing, from God through Paul and to you, is:
“For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19
Happy Valentine’s Day from the ultimate Valentine! May you never forget how truly loved you are.
