 In light of the current biological threat of Covid-19, our world has been consumed by doubt, fear, and panic. But God’s Word still shines like a beacon in the night making us, as Jesus put it, the light of the world.

In Ephesians 6, God through the apostle Paul reminds us of an entire armor we have to fight off the devil’s attacks (which in case there was any doubt, this pandemic is right up in his bag of tricks). One of those weapons is the Sword of the Spirit, a.k.a. the Word of God.

So today, fellow believers and warriors, we are arming you with an arsenal of verses to bolster your faith, stand strong, and back the enemy down!

Your Faith-Filled Arsenal

Exodus 15:27

…For I am the Lord who heals you.

The above is quoted from Isaiah 53:4-5:

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

II Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

You are Mighty and Loved

And if you’re still reading, we are going to finish out our arsenal with the full Psalms 91 – it is a power punch. God bless you mightily and keep you safe, sane, and healthy!

Psalms 91

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.
