Taking part in scheduled lessons is always exciting for me. I have taken quite a few online courses that are read, not watched, and I get a deeper understanding of the word of God that way.

Reading and writing are so much more engaging than just watching, which I also do. Reading is a fantastic all involved exercise… especially when linked with writing.

Receive with Meekness

First, you receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your soul.

“For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:20-21 KJV

Another way to think of this is ‘make your mind whole.’ As part of this process, approach your study time prayerfully.

“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” Psalm 119:18 KJV

This verse, used as a prayerful request with anticipation to learn from God more of what the word means, will set/make you free. For it is the truth that makes men free!

“Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, ‘if ye abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 NKJV

 Hold with Faith

Second, we hold on to what we are learning and hold to it. Titus 1 says that to be mature faith-filled people, we hold on to and stay on the course that God reveals to us through our study and learning.

“For a bishop must be blameless…holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.” Titus 1:7, 9 NKJV

God works within us to will and to do of his good pleasure!

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation [soteria, also translated as welfare, prosperity ,and preservation]  with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 NKJV

We find out and we work out our own salvation, our own calling to do what the Lord will call on us to do.

And He IS calling! He has works to do and we will absolutely make a difference in this world. Maybe not the way the world sees it, as a famous star, but one person at a time, we can help others to be made whole. It’s pretty simple!

Share Your Studies and Life

The third step is to tell others what we have learned. Maybe from our studies, we come across a real chunk of Gold – so share it!

Also, share your life with others, share of the goodness God has abundantly filled you with.

“Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap…let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season, we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:6-9 NKJV

Bring people in under your ministry and bless them. This is how you sow and then reap, and have all you need to minister.

Remember, actions speak louder than words ..right!
