God’s Word is in us, and we have a calling.

A friend of mine spent $3,000 to have a German Shorthaired Pointer. The dog was trained in whistle commands, German, English and hand signals, as well as being a guard dog, too.

But my pal lived in an apartment. The poor dog was miserable. Called to be a hunting dog, but relegated to an apartment, he started eating furniture, clothing, and other odd food choices.

One time, my pal came home and found the dog on the kitchen table with his head in a bag of groceries, eating a stick of BUTTER!

A friend of ours explained, “You took this highly trained adaptable hunting dog out of the woods and onto wall-to-wall carpet with air conditioning…no wonder he eats butter!”

So, my pal gave the dog away to a local farmer. Last we heard, the dog lives happily ever after in his calling and the outdoors.

Live Your Calling

We, too, have a calling that we need to be in the environment of. We have God’s Word spiritually in us to answer, to apply, and to live.

Don’t live otherwise and eat the butter!

It is the engrafted Word, which is able to make us whole, complete, and ready.

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:21 KJV

That Word is in us, with us and a part of us. God put it there so that we can live it, speak it, and rise above the world.

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 NKJV

Confession of Belief

What we confess, we give life to. We have power in us, so use it wisely.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

Bring the Word of God that is implanted in you, the Christ in you, God working in you…bring that OUT. God always causes us to triumph, so praise and exalt Him and His works in your speech and actions.

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…” 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

Any other message will confound us and make us eat the BUTTER.

So, what do you want in your life? Make a move towards it and confess the truth of the Word of God!
