The “Kingdom Relationships” was an explosive weekend of heart healing and relationship growth. More than 100 attendees and 23 live stream locations listened as Christian Family Fellowship staff and guest speakers gave Scripture insight, practical application, and heartfelt testimonies.

On Sunday, one of the guests, Rev. Dr. Damien Johnson, encouraged and released the group into relationship restoration. What follows below is a close adaptation of those truths he preached!

From Death to Life

Jesus will speak LIFE into your relationship, into those places of hopelessness and emptiness. When Jesus stood at the moment of Lazarus, and he prayed to God and thanked God for all the people that were around, he looked up to his father and he called Lazarus forth.

“So they removed the [tomb]stone. Then Jesus raised his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent me. When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” John 11:41-44 NASB

Jesus is ready right now to call someone’s relationship out of the death.

He is ready right now to restore somebody’s relationship to the point where it’s blissful again. He is ready to restore somebody’s relationship to the point where you’re loving again.

He is ready to restore somebody’s relationship where you appreciate each other. He is ready to restore the relationship back to the point of perfect peace and harmony, where you can begin to explore each other in the depths of where God is exploring each and every one of us.

Don’t ever think that you are alone in those seasons. Some relationships might seem dead right now, but I intend to let you know that God speaks life to your dead relationships.

He can call you forth right now that your relationship is restored to the highest of heights, no matter what you’re going through.

A New Creation

In this season, just know that my God is all powerful. He’s all knowing.

Just know that my God has omnipotent power that He can restore even the worst of your relationships. He can remove the stain of the past and restore you brand new.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Somebody right now needs to be renewed in their relationship. Somebody right now needs to understand that if they fall down on their knees and pray to God, He will come into the midst of their relationship. That their relationship can be restored.

And not only restored, but their relationship can be renewed. And not only renewed; their relationship can come out as pure gold.

Whatever it is that you’re going through, I have belief and I have faith that if God has done it before, He can do it again. If God has restored relationships before, He can restore relationships again. If God has bought you out of the miry clay and cleaned you up before, He can do it again.

“He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.” Psalm 40:2 NKJV

Why? Because he’s that type of God. He doesn’t care what you’ve done.

I’ll say it again – He does not care what you’ve done. There’s nothing that you’ve done that’s so bad that God still can’t love you. There’s nothing you’ve done that’s so good that you can’t escape.

God is ready and He’s willing to restore relationships if you put it in His hand. Sometimes we don’t put it in God’s hand.

We talk to everybody else. We put everything on Facebook about our relationships, and we get advice from this person and that person, which only destroys our relationship.

But if we go to the Master, the relationship restorer , the One who created us, the Master Geneticist, the one who can take a lump of clay and create man, and can take a rib and create woman, He can restore those relationships.

He can not only restore them for the moment, He can restore them for the future. He can make sure that whatever is going on in your past is erased.

He can make sure that any turmoil you experienced in your past relationship is not seeping into your current relationship. Sometimes what we experienced in our current relationship is only a subset of what we experienced in our past relationship.

When we allow God to create spiritual surgery on us, and cut out those parts that are no longer valid, and restore in us a newness, then we see in our relationship that God can really do a magnificent, wonderful thing in our live. He’s ready and He’s willing.

I’m reminded of when the prodigal son returned home, and when his father saw him, he ran towards him, and embraced him.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” Luke 15:20 NIV

God is waiting for somebody to bring their relationship to him, so He can run to you and restore the fullness of that relationship that now He’s in the middle and He’s connecting you two for eternity.

God is ready and He’s willing to restore these relationships, no matter what you’ve gone through in the past, no matter what has been said in the past, no matter what that emotional turmoil that you experience in that relationship in the past, if you bring it to God, He is ready and He is willing and He is able to restore that relationship and make it brand new where you see each other as brand new, where you love each other as brand new, where you see the beauty again all over again, and  every day it gets sweeter and sweeter than the day before.

There’s nothing too hard for my God. I don’t know about your God, but if what you’re going through is too big or too hard for your God, you need to try the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who spoke nothing into something and it became everything!

He can speak life into your relationship when you bring it to Him and lay it at His feet. God will and He can restore your relationship.
