What started as a conversation between a few Christian Family Fellowship ministers became a full weekend of discussion, dissertation, and diving into the Scripture together at Angels Among Us with Brent Joseph. Angels are a crucial part of God’s spiritual kingdom, and Brent’s material helped broaden the base of angelic empowerment for the Lord’s people.

As Pastor Tom Dill shared on Sunday morning, the Word shared “pierced our heart and opened us up to more understanding.” And Pastor Tom wasn’t the only one who felt that way – 65 people from 25 states, with another 75 live stream locations, all hopped on and showed up to learn about these heavenly agents.

There were several teaching sessions, and a detailed question-and-response session as well (Brent pointed out it wasn’t question and answer, because he couldn’t promise he had all the answers!).

A Diligent Worker

Brent, his wife Kathryn, and their five children ranging from toddlers to teenagers, have been involved with Christian Family Fellowship in multiple capacities.

Currently, Brent serves as a current member of the CFFM board.

He has also ministered with groups in Africa and the Middle East, including the countries Malawi and Pakistan. Brent is earning his PhD in Biblical Studies at Regent University and will be giving the final dissertation in October 2026.

During the Angels Among Us weekend, Brent used both the Old Testament and New Testament to show the expansiveness of angels – from the Pentateuch all the way to Revelation! He also incorporated cultural and historical information, including Second Temple Literature and commentaries by Earle Ellis, to build a full picture (Bible scholars often know the importance of context!).

Brent explained how angels are individual spirits, operating as agents within a heavenly council, sent by God on specific missions. They are often mediators between God and man, always on the Lord’s behalf.

There is a plethora of missions and roles that angels have fulfilled in the Kingdom of God and that they continue to complete in this current administration.

“It’s not about the future or the past; it’s about right now,” Brent said, encouraging the group not to get stuck in past mindsets. “God is in the present; He is interested in you right now!”

Angels Among Us Part Two

Even if you missed the first part, there is a second portion coming of this angel deep dive! Plans are in the works for a second Angels Among Us weekend in November 2026, with Pastors Tom Dill and Tonia Shroyer joining the teaching roster as well. Email sarah@cffm.org for more information.

To hear Brent’s final teaching, watch the Sunday sermon “Angels Among Us” on CFF’s YouTube channel.
